In the back, the Sheriff finds the doctor and the OR that his son is in. They are doing chest compressions and shocking him, and all he can hear is that loud flatline.
"No. No, damnit Stiles fight. You're stronger than this."
Standing next to him, Stiles just looked at his father a moment, watching the tears stream down his face. He pursed his lips, wanting to touch his father and tell him it was going to be okay, but his hand went right through him.
"I'm sorry, Dad. I tried."
He blinked, and then he was in the lobby, invisible to all but standing there looking at his friends. His family. Lyle and Billy were up, rubbing at their ears, and Stiles figured it out quickly that Lydia had screamed.
He was dead. It made sense. But he walked over, kneeling down to look at Lydia and Cora and he just stared at them before reaching up to touch Cora's cheek.
