↠ Canon Point: end of Season 5, Episode 9 “Lies of Omission”
↠ Reserve: Here
↠ Age: 18
↠ Appearance: Brown hair, brown eyes, and looking like he can be your best friend or probably talk you out of all your worldly possessions. There is always movement when you look at Stiles because he lacks the ability to stay still. His hair goes in all directions, and he can’t really grow scruff. In the last few years, lacrosse has helped tone his body so he’s less gangly and more athletic, but he has kitten paw hands and is a natural klutz with them. Beware of his smirk – it means you’re about to find yourself in some kind of trouble.

↠ Personality: It wasn’t really random that the nogitsune choose Stiles to be his host – at the core of it all, Stiles Stilinski is a trickster himself. He has his own unique way of “working around” rules, which is hilarious with his father being a cop and Stiles having a healthy appreciation of their job. Past that, though, he is a loyal friend to those close to him. It’s that connection to people he needs the most, and when he is isolated it will send him into panic mode.
He doesn’t handle loss well. After his mother died, something he feels a lot of personal guilt over, he clung tightly to his father, Scott, and Melissa McCall (who is like a second mother to him). When faced with losing them, he will do almost anything to prevent it even if it costs him his own life.
He is very quick-witted, sarcasm being a first line of defense in a world where it seems everyone and their grandfather is stronger than him. He’s also quick to his emotions – especially anger and anxiety. When angry, he can be downright spiteful, rude, and downright cruel in his actions and how he speaks to others, but he never intentionally hurts anyone. It’s rare that the side comes out, but it’s inside of him and he can draw on it when he needs to (see: chaining Scott to radiator and giving him dog bowl). He’s also hard to scare these days: after the nogitsune he has learned to calm himself when scared and stare the person down while keeping calm.
The biggest fear, though, is disappointing his father. Sheriff will joke around about Scott being the “son I wish I had”, and there is that tiny shift in his face at how it stings. But when he and his dad fight, or his dad gets in trouble because of something Stiles did, his entire demeanor changes to make him quiet and obedient. Stiles is of the belief that they are supposed to take care of each other, and so he involves himself with everything of his dad’s life – whether he wants Stiles to or not.
His mind is like a trap sometimes – the gears never stop turning and he needs to know everything obsessively so he can understand and figure things out. He will forgo food, sleep, school – pretty much anything when he is in his “detective” mode. His lack of focus from his ADHD can sometimes hamper him on this – going off on tangents and chasing ideas down the wrong rabbit hole – but he has gotten a system down for when he’s trying to figure out a mystery in Beacon Hills that will assure any yarn store that they will always need to order more red yarn.
And lately, he’s been very secretive – which comes down to the fact that he can’t blame the nogitsune anymore for the blood on his hands after he caused the death of Donovan while the other teen tried to kill him in the Beacon Hills library. He hasn’t told anyone about it – not his Dad, not his BFF Scott, not his now ex-girlfriend Malia – and his relationships are breaking away piece by piece as the guilt and anger at himself get stronger by the day. He blames himself, and has it twisted in his head that he murdered Donovan. He can’t stop thinking about it, and it’s having an effect on how he treats his friends and pushing them away. Just before he arrives in the city, he’s had the major blowup with Scott about it, and seeing how Scott is angry, disappointed, and even a bit scared of him has all but destroyed that fragile bit of ego he had left and it has left him angry at himself and the world.
↠ Powers / Abilities: The baby boy is human, though he’s living in a body that was created by a nogitsune so there is a bit of doubt if he is fully human or a magical human. He hasn’t shown any ability to use magic though. He’s a logical thinker, and is good at research. He’s somewhat good at plan building – but his plans sometimes suck too. He’s good with technology, has a set of sticky fingers, and can totally make a working car out of metal parts and duct tape.
↠ Languages: English. He has enough exposure to Spanish to understand a few words but doesn’t have fluency in it.
↠ Inventory: Clothing on him, car keys, cell phone, metal wrench. Everything, including him, is soaked.
↠ Reason for Playing This Character: I’ve been playing Stiles for a few years now, and he’s a fun mixture of hyperness, intelligence, sensitivity, and adorable puppyness. I enjoy putting him in situations where he has to adapt to the world for survival, and figure out how he can work what he has to his own advantage. He’s taken a few dark turns in his life canon wise, and I think having to deal with the sins will be a challenge for me playing him.
↠ What is Your Character's Sin?: At this point in his canon, wrath is the ruling sin in Stiles’ mind – overpowering envy and pride by a landslide. Anxiety over his hand in killing Donovan, as well as still craving the power of the nogitsune at times, Stiles has the capability for retribution that often gets overlooked by his friends because he is the human of the group. However, he has witnessed a lot of horrible supernatural events in the last two years of his life that have had a direct impact on him or his family.
At times, he often feels a lack of control in these events because of his human frailties, and that leaves him being frustrated and then reckless. As the violence escalated in town, and then he became the villain for awhile, he gained power and control over himself in ways he didn’t believe possible and still to this day he isn’t sure what was the nogitsune talking, and what was him. He remembers it all, and losing that kind of control makes his anxiety grow. His friends being overprotective of him because of his human-ness just adds to it, and it’s a powder keg on the verge of exploding in wanting to scream and prove he can take on the bad guys just as well as they can.
With Donovan’s death, Stiles sees himself very capable of murder. It scares him, but at the same time he isn’t apologetic about it. As he told Scott “some of us have to get our hands a little bloody sometimes”, and he knows that if he stays in Beacon Hills, this isn’t going to be the last time he’ll be faced with the choice.
SAMPLES
↠ First Person: [the video starts of an EXTREME close-up of a face, and then it is pulled back to be held at arm’s length by one very confused and anxious teenager, his eyes looking around himself as he is pushed up against a wall. He’s drenched, wiping at his nose with a shaking hand]
Okay, listen Scott, I don’t know if you can hear this but I fucked up, okay? I know you probably can’t trust me but something’s going on and I don’t know where I am, or how I got here. So please, if you can see this, come find me. Use that werewolf nose of yours because you can probably smell my chemo signals from across the country at the moment.
[he’s going to rub at the back of his neck, trying to keep calm and from having a panic attack]
And whoever took me – yeah not freaken funny. When I find you, I’m going to beat your ass. So you may wanna rethink your whole kidnapping teens against their will strategy, because after I’m done kicking my ass, my Dad’s going to drop you into a prison hole so deep you’ll be wishing for a roommate and a bar of soap.
[and he closes his eyes, taking a deep, shuddering breath before muttering to himself softly]
I just wanna go home this is a bad dream I need to wake up wake up Stiles wake up…

↠ Additional Samples: I could just point at Ben Braeden and be like – see him. But I don’t know how many of the mods that would work on, so no, I’m good.
↠ Notes: Is there curly fries somewhere in the City, because otherwise he may starve?
